(54) Recirculation systems


(57) An air transfer system for a suction cleaning vehicle (10) is provided with an air recirculation system (34) which recirculates air and entrained matter from the pressure side of the fan (14) to the inlet region (40) of the matter-collecting tank (12) substantially without passing through the inlet duct to the tank. Dust and other entrained matter is thereby removed from the pressure discharge from the tank and re-enters the tank (12) for collection therein without the need to pass a second time through the nozzle or associated inlet duct of the cleaning vehicle.
