(54) Deployable reflectors


(57) An off-set paraboloidal reflector for a space-craft such as a communications satellite is made collapsible by mounting the reflective surface 9 on a number of ribs 8 which extend along generators of the parent paraboloid and which are hinged eg. to a support rail 10, to enable the reflector 2 to be hinged into a small space adjacent to the space-craft, yet providing a large area when deployed.
