(54)	Press for pressing grapes, fruit residues and other pulpy products

(57) The press described for pressing grapes, fruit residues and other pulpy products comprises a drum (1) rotatable about a horizontal axis, rotated by a geared motor unit (5) and also having a loading and discharge door (3) and an axial supply valve (7), as well as a body or frame (8) which houses at least the lower half of the drum (1). The body (8) is self-supporting since its support legs (12) are formed integrally therewith. The hubs (24) of the drum (1) are mounted in the ends (11) of the body (8) and the geared motor unit (5), the control panel (13), and the valve (7) are mounted directly on the ends (11). The body (8) may be also in the form of an open-bottomed tank.
