(54)	Carrier tape and fabric for rapier loom

(57) A carrier tape for use in a rapier loom. The carrier tape is formed of fiber reinforced plastic. A fabric band (1) is used as a reinforcing material for the plastic. The fabric band (1) is substantially the same size as the carrier tape. The fabric band (1) contains a yarn (2) arranged obliquely to a lengthwise direction of the fabric band (1), and the yarn (2) is woven to be folded, or angled, at the sides of the fabric band (1).
