(54) A fire prevention apparatus


(57) There is provided a fire prevention apparatus (1) which has a liquid discharge means (5) in the form of a nozzle in a flue (3). The liquid discharge means is fed through a conduit (7) from a controller (6) with a liquid for dissolving those flammable combustion products which are not burnt normally but form a flammable condensate on the surface of the flue pipe. A temperature sensing means (10) is mounted in the flue pipe (3) and connected to the controller (6) to provide for correct operation of the apparatus (1). The apparatus (1) may be manually or automatically operated.
