(57) A stabilizing solution for processing a silver halide color photographic material and a method for processing a silver halide color photographic light material suing the stabilizing solution are disclosed. The stabilizing solution contains a compound represented by the following Formula 1;

wherein Q1 is a group of atoms necessary to form a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring, R1 is a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal atom, a

group or an alkyl group, Q' is a synonym with Q1.
