BACKGROUND OF THE INVENCION
[0001] The present specification refers to an improved last applicable to footwear maintenance,
the evident purpose of which is to avoid the shoes to be deformed within - which it
is incorporated, according to those anatomical characteristics allowing it to be fitted
inside a shoe in which it is placed, this last being polyvalent , that is to say,
allowing it to be placed in different size - shoes, and exhibiting, at the same time,
the capacity of incorporating, at its inner zone, a smelling pastille, which configured
as a solid , avoids aromatic effluvia, deodorants, germicides, bactericides, etc.,
to emerge, - which maintain a shoe apart from appropiate anatomical - conditions according
to the performance of the last itself, under sanitary conditions, the last being coated,
at its outside part, by an external paint, lacquered, or similar finishing.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0002] This invention finds application in the industry devoted to the manufacture of auxiliary
elements for footwear, to be exact in the footwear maintenance.
RELATED ART
[0003] There is, at present, a plurality of elements and devices, all them designed for
provinding a correct positioning of a shoe and its relative maintenance when the shoe
is not used, said elements and devices being configured starting from cardboard uppers,
rigid lasts made of a wooden or plastic material, lasts configured by - means of end
bodies made of wood and plastic, which are united by means of a center metal band,
etc.
[0004] In all cases, and independently of a better or worse performance thereof, both the
lasts and the auxiliary elements used succeed in maintain a shoe to be adequately
positioned, avoing the wrinkle formation and deformation thereof, when the shoe is
not used or worn.
[0005] Neverhesless,in all cases, even the maintenance of a footwear being contemplated
starting from the above mennioned elements or lasts, with regard to its physical -
configuration, there is not known the use of bactericide products, which, in cooperation
with a last having - appropiate characteristics, acts in a harmonic way for footwear
maintenance, both for maintaining a physical condition and a sanitary condition.
[0006] Obviously, for maintaining the footwear in a sanitary condition, until flow, disinfectant
powders are being deposited within the shoes, such as boron or any other adequate
material, so maintaing the footwear in an adequate condition, in a greater or lesser
measure, the performance of the maintaining of the footwear being powered by the last
or a similar element itself.
[0007] An evident solution to the present problems in this - field would be to rely on a
last or similar element, which, while acting on the physical configuration and suitable
maintenance of the shoes into which is incorporated, would be fitted with the faculty
of allowing a smelling pastille or similar to be incorporated, the effluvia of which
could maintain the footwear carrying the last, also under optimum conditions in relation
to the hygiene.
[0008] Nevertheless, up to now nothing is known about the existence of a last fitted with
the above mentioned - characteristics.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0009] The improved last applicable to footwear maintenance as proposed by the invention,
constitues per se an antideformation method for the footwear incorporating it, and,
at the same time, due to the incorporation into same of a smelling pastille, it can
maintain the footwear carring it under sanitary conditions.
[0010] In a most definite way, the improved last applicable to footwear maintenance, which
is the abject of the present invention, is constituted starting from an elongated
part which is subdivided into thre parts, including a front portion destined to be
adjusted inside the shoe, acting on a side zone, leather tip and instep; an intermediate
portion constituting a bellows bonded to the rear portion acting on the heel, so that
owing to the performance of the bellows itself, increasing the length of the main
body, it allows it to be adapted inside the shoe, in a simplified manner, since the
flexibility of the center portion constituted by the bellows, makes possible, not
only to be inserted, but, at the same time, the bellows body will produce or effect
a push due to its elasticity so that the last will perfectly adapt itself to the shoe,
avoiding the shoe to be deformed, upon getting the front part and the rear part to
be fully adjusted to the inner anatomy of the shoe carrying the last.
[0011] The lower portion of the zone of the front part has a hollow deformation the function
of which is to allow a smelling solid to be incorporated in, the effluvia of which
will be received by the shoe carrying the last, the remainder of the last being a
hollow body full of air, which is able to be adequately deformed under the bellows
pressure, the zone where the smelling solid or pastille is incorporated being fitted
with a small perimetric split at the mouth destined to facilitate the insertion of
the piece carrying the pastille or smelling solid, resting adequately fixed.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0012] In order to complement this description and to aid to a better understanding of the
characteristics of the invention, the appending drawings, which are a part of this
specification, show, by way of illustrative and non-limiting exemple, the following
figures:
Figure 1 shows a side elevational view the improved last applicable to footwear maintenance,
incorporated in a shoe itself, which is represented in outline.
Figure 2 shows a bottom view of the object illustrated in figure 1.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0013] From these figures, it can be seen that the improved last applicable to footwear
maintenance (1) is constitutes starting from a main body, which determines, in its
context, the existence of an airtight chamber, subdivided into three zones or parts
perfectly differentiated, one of them being that located at the front part (2), -
which is united to that placed at the rear part, by means of a bellows (4), constituting
an intermediate length, which determines, at the same time, a flexion zone, and which
facilitates the adaptation, both of the front part (2), and the rear part (3), in
a shoe (5).
[0014] The bellows (4) performance determines the perfect - adaptation of both ends on the
inner zone of the shoe (5), and, at the same time, it allows the dimension to be regulated
according to the last and according to the flexibility of the own bellows, so permitting
its adaptation both in greater or lesser size of shoe, due to - the operation of a
bellows forming a center zone (4).
[0015] Apart from the performance of the last (1), inasmuch the maintenance of the shoe
(5) itself in regard to its physical configuration, the last (1) presents, at the
- lower part of the zone (2), a circular or a similar cavity (7), in which a solid
or pastille is inserted (8), emitting deodorant, smelling, germicide, bactericide,
etc. efflavia, which cooperate to the sanitary and hygienic maintenance of the footwear
(5) itself.
[0016] The last, at the same time, has, at the lower part of the zone (2), or front part
of this zone, interlaced reinforcements (6), constituted as longitudinal and cross
- reinforcements subdivided into four lengths arising from an access opening to the
cavity (7).
1. An improved last applicable to footwear maintenance, of those destined to avoid the
deformation of shoes during their transit, marketing stages or non-use periods thereof,
and of those constituted starting from a hollow plastic material body (1), which determines
the existence of an airtight chamber with three differentiated lengths of zones: one
front (2) with a complementary configuration to the inner part of the shoe; a rear
part (3), adopting the configuration of the inner part of the heel of the shoe in
question; and a center length of union (4), adopting the configuration of a flexible
bellows which allows the body of the last to be shortened, relying on the characteristique
that the total length of the last body (1) is lightly superior to the length of the
show in which it is incorporated, so that , once it has been coupled in the shoe,
thru the shrinkage of said last (1), across the flexion zone (4) configured by the
bellows, a total coupling of the last (1) inside the shoe (5) is obtained, characterized in that the lower part of the front zone (2) of the last (2) is provided with a cylindrical
cavity (7), through which the placing and fixing of a deodorant solid or pastille
is made (8), constituted by smelling, germicide, bactericide or similar products,
the last being outwradly coated with an external finishing configured by paint, lacquer,
etc.
