(54) Air intake apparatus for a four-cycle internal combustion engine


(57) An air intake apparatus for a four-cycle internal combustion engine comprises air intake passages passing into at least one combustion chamber and throttle valves disposed in said air intake passages. Fuel injection valves are provided in close proximity to the throttle valve in the air intake passage, and at least one damping valve being arranged upstream of the throttle valve to vary the cross section of said air intake passages according to the air intake conditions, and to dampen increased air intake flows resulting from the aperture of the foregoing throttle valve.
