[0001] The
"TABLOCK" system invests its interest in the field of hinges, window-shutters and windows of
all kinds.
Pre-existent technique
[0002] In the pre-existent technique the hinge is simply a bearing support that support
the shutter or the window and let to open or close it.
[0003] If you image now to open the window-shutter, you have to fix it on the wall by means
of curved catches, usually called in Italian "Colombelle" or "Gobbetti". In this way
the shutter doesn't slam and it is resolved also the problem of wind.
Explanation of the invention
[0004] My invention permitts to achieve two resalts:
- It permitts to eliminate the curved catches (Gobbetti) and resolve also the problem
of wind. The hinge is not only a simple bearing support, but it will become a completely
innovative element from the functional angle. That is resolving a problem by means
of a completely new manner of working.
- It permitts also to make he hinge like a new safety-lock.
[0005] The invention consists in a mechanical blocking and release of the window-shutters.
[0006] I have created a steel pin (this is my particular innovation), that it is put into
the female hinge -Fig.2-. This pin, pushed by a spring, works like a pressure-piston
and when someone open the shutter, the pin wheels on his slide guide -Fig.3(a)- inside
the male hinge (it can be fixed on the counter-chassis of the shutter or directly
on the wall) and it slips into a hole realized inside the male hinge -Fig. 3(b). Now
the shutter is completely opened and blocked. The piston -Fig.4- is in the hole by
means of the pression of the spring -Fig.4(a).
[0007] To close the shutter it is simply sufficient to take out the gummed knob -Fig.4(b)-
from the pin, so that the piston drags the shutter, by coming out the hole.
[0008] In my invention it is very interesting that the hole inside the male hinge -Fig.3(b)-
can be adjustable in different degrees of opening by loosing and tighting a adjusting-screw
- Fig.3(c).
[0009] By loosing this screw, a part of the male pin wheels and to leave to someone to choose
the degrees of opening of the shutter, as someone will. In fact, the male pin of the
shutter is only one element but formed by two separated parts: the element -Fig.3(d)-
fixed on the counter-chassis of the window or directly on the wall by the threaded
screw or the hanger -Fig. 3( f)- and the element that wheel by loosing the adjusting-screw.
[0010] This is makes my invention also a safety system, because the hole can be fixed in
the locking position of the shutter. For example, you imagine that the hole is regolated
by 180° of locking; by opening the shutter the pin slips into the hole and it blocks
the shutter. If you want to block the shutter at 45° or 38° or "x" degrees, you can
loose the adjusting-screw with a spanner, open the shutter at the desired degree and
then you tighten the screw. So, the shutter can be opened and blocked at the desired
degree.
Short description of drawings
[0011] From the enclosed drawings it is easy to realize everything I have just descibed.
- In 1-2 it is rappresented a general section Fig.1 where it is evident the female hinge with
the pin, the spring and the gommed knob fixed on the chassis of the shutter. It is
evident also the male hinge with a threaded screw fixed on the counter-chassis of
the shutter.

spring Fig.4(a) and the gommed knob. All of these parts are integrating ones of the
female hinge.
