(54)	A surface coating repair gun and assembly kit

(57) A repair gun assembly comprises a body (1), a nozzle (18) attached to the gun body (1) and a needle (9) mounted for axial movement in the body (1) and co-operating with the nozzle (18) for opening and closing the nozzle opening. Biasing means (12) are provided for biasing the needle (9) in a direction to close the opening of the nozzle (18). The needle (9) has a collar (11) in a position spaced from the tip thereof and a trigger assembly (3) is mounted on the body (1) and includes a resilient catch member (15). The resilient catch member (15) co-operates with a radially projecting rim (17) of the collar (11) to move the collar (11) in a direction to open the nozzle opening against the action of the biasing means (12). The catch member (15) is slidable past the rim (17) after a predetermined resistance has been reached to allow the needle (9) to move back in a direction to close the nozzle (18).
