[0001] To execute profiles on the marble, granite, glass and plastic edges etc., realized
with manual machines and the most of machines used at the moment, it's necessary a
set of tools for every geometric form that start from the rough - shaping, the smoothing,
the finishing and polishing, which are very expensive for the processes of production
and the complexity of the same tools.
[0002] For this reason I have tested and got ready a more economic system that reduces very
much the costs of utensilery with a consequent and large saving of time and money
for all the marbleworkers, the glassworkers etc. in the production of their articles.
[0003] This system, the object of the present invention, is a tool (cutter) with exchangeable
inserts (sectors) unlike the current system. This system can realize more profiles,
replacing the cutter corp with the sectors of suitable form. When you have worn out
the tool it's necessary to replace only the sectors with a very reduced cost.
[0004] To obtain a perfect profile with this tool, it is planned the using of a bearing
placed on the margin or in a central position with respect to the tool that serves
as an idle beating (copy) which allows a support for the profiling piece and a tourning
round its perimeter, while the tool works creating the desidered profile. This system
of support - copy has been used since many years in the carpentery.
[0005] All these explications can be much better understood with the precise descriptions
that follow in according to the enclosured designs that you can see:
[0006] In the table 1 we can see the complete cutter for the rough - shaping composed of
the corp tool post (1), exchangeable tools (sectors) (2) , the blocking screws (3),
the idle beating (copy) (6and7).
[0007] In the table 2 we can see the bearing (the idle beating) placed on the margin of
the tool (8) or in a central position (9) and some possibilities of realizing different
profiles.
[0008] In the table 3 we can see an example of interchangeability of the sectors to obtain
different profiles (10 and 11) with the possibility of assembling sectors of rough
- shaping, smoothing or polishing.
[0009] The object of this invention is designed in the table 1, figure 1, that shows the
cutter-corp (tool post) composed of a piece in a suitable material (generally steel
or aluminium, or any other enough resistent material) which is worked to realize the
places for the fixing of the diamond sectors that will be a sufficient quantity. The
geometry will allow the symmetry of the sector, because there will be a part of the
sector that works more and another part that works less, and so, it can be turned
of 180° and allow the part which has worked less (for this not worn out) better conditions
for working more, and the other part that has worked more, (for this very worn out)
to work less.
[0010] The linear sector for the rough-shaping is composed of a corp (1) where it is placed
the diamond in an electrolytic way or in other ways; it can be welded with a basement
of sintered diamond or with another abrasive material that can work for the rough-
shaping, the smoothing, the finishing or polishing.
[0011] This sector will take the form and dimension suitable for realizing the profile and
the diamond or the abrasive qualified for every type of working. The sector will have
one or more holes for fixing the cutter corp (coro tool post). The sector can be fixed
with stirrups too.
[0012] The sector can be also in a plastic material or gum, especially for polishing with
the necessary taken abrasive or with diamond stuck cloths.
[0013] For all this descriptions and illustrations you can make changes suggested from the
practical realization or the technicians of the branch, without lying outside in the
sector of the invention how you can see from the following demands.
1. Technical and economic improvement of tools for the execution of profiles on marble,
granite, glass, plastic and other materials with exchangeable and replaceable sectors.
2. Technical and economic improvement of the corp tool post realized with places for
the accomodation of the sectors with their holes for fixing the same sectors and some
holes for the water's passage.
3. Technical and economic improvement of the sectors with one or more holes for fixing
and with filling-diamond or other abrasive substance.
4. Technical and economic improvement characterized for the preceding demands about the
fixing system with screw directly on the threaded sector.
5. Technical and economic improvement of the accomodation of the bearing that is like
an idle beating placed on the margin or in the centre of the tool that allows cutters
to work on the piece round all its perimeter with a regular depth greating the desired
profile according to the geometric form of the cutter.
6. System with exchangeable and replaceable sector for polishing cutters with sectors,
abrasive diamond supportings or diamond cloth or other abrasive substance suitable
for its function.
