(57) A valve assembly (10,110,310) for controlling the flow of flammable gas to a burner,
comprising a body (14,114,314) having a passageway (16,116,316) for flow of gas from
an inlet (12,112,312) and a valve (37,137,337) having a valve seat (36,136,336) and
a closure (40,140,340) which valve is positioned between first and second outlet channels
(24,26,124,126,324,326) from the passageway wherein the first and second channels
are axially separated along the passageway (16,116,316) such that axial movement of
the closure (40,140,340) along the passageway (16,116,316) effects opening and closing
of the valves.
