(57) An architectural covering which has a head rail (10), a bottom rail (12), a covering element (13) extending between the head rail (10) and the bottom rail (12), at least two lift cords (14) extending from the head rail (10) and supporting the bottom rail (12) and means to limit the downward movement of the bottom rail and which also comprises an adjuster (27) connected to at least one of the lift cords (14); the adjuster (27) having: a first part (26), to which an end of the cord is secured; a second part (28) engaging the bottom rail (12) or the head rail (10); and means (30) to adjust the relative position of the first (26) and second parts (28).
