TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention relates to a pouch or container for every kind of cartridges,
either for long or short rifled barrel firearms or smooth bore sporting, hunting or
professional firearms. The automatic closing system offered by this pouch intended
to be used as a cartridge container is due to a special configuration of some bands
or elastic springs which impede the cartridges contained in the pouch to come out
from it when the pouch bearer moves or performs a sudden motion, with the particularity
that when removing the user's hand from inside the pouche, this pouch automatically
closes.
[0002] The pouch intended to be used as a container for cartridges is constituted by a shapeless
and non specified material pouch, having an opening or mouth, the purpose of which
is to insert and extract the cartridges. Limiting each edge of said opening, there
are bands which can be hooked on one of the edges or on both edges, the function of
which is to keep the pouch mouth close, and these bands can be located at same of
different level, in order to make the operation more smooth. These bands can be straight,
convex or concave. Also, this pouch can have one or several divisions or compartments,
to keep tools, or it can be made of padded material in order to avoid damages to the
metallic cartridges. For a better transport, the pouch can have a bridge or sheath
to link it to a belt, or a strap to carry it hanging from a shoulder.
PRIOR ART
[0003] Nothing is known similar to the model presented here, as although pouches intended
to contain cartridges are known long time ago, no one has incorporated an automatic
closing system to avoid the cartridges contained in them to fall.
ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION
[0004] As above mentioned, an advantage of this product over any other type of pouch intended
to carry cartridges rests on the fact of presenting a double slope: the first is that,
once the extracting hand has been introduced in the pouch to take a cartridge, when
withdrawing the hand, the pouch mouth automatically closes, and the user can run,
stoop, etc. with no possibility for the cartridges to fall or be lost. The second
advantage is the fact that the cartridges can be taken with only one hand, due to
the fact that the edges of the pouch mouth are at different level, without the need
of releasing the firearm.
DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
[0005] In order to complement this description and to aid to a better understanding of the
characteristics of the invention, the appending set of drawings shows, by way of illustrative
and non-limiting sense, the following:
Figure 1 shows a perspective front view of the pouche intended to carry cartridges,
which is the object of the invention, showing the mouth through which the cartridges
are introduced and extracted, and the bands limiting said mouth.
Figure 2 shows a side elevational view, clearly illustrating the arrangement of the
bands delimiting the edges of the mouth of the pouch.
Figure 3 shows a perspective rear view of the pouch intended to be used to carry cartridges,
illustrating the edge of the mouth wherein the band is adhered, as well as the transport
bridge.
PRACTICAL EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
[0006] The simplicity of the present Model of Utility allows it to be easily and successfully
completed. The two faces forming the pouch can be united by sewing or sticking, excepting
the mouth of the pouch, and the ends of said mouth are fixed in the same way, so that
the bands perform their function. Nevetheless, the pouch can be made in one-piece.
At the ends of the mouth, bands are longitudinally fixed to the edges of said mouth,
these bands being firmly riveted to said edges or inserted in sheaths possibly located
in said pouch mouth.
MODES OF EXPLOITATION IN THE INDUSTRY
[0007] Given the actual boom of the shooting practice with shotguns in various modalities,
both cynegetic and pertaining to sport, precision shooting with long rifled barrel
arms or shot running with small arms and its undeniable advantage of caring only about
extracting the cartridges, the present invention will have,
a priori, a very good acceptance in the gun or sport shops. The manufacture of this product
does not involve any risk, for human health or during its manufacture. as the materials
to be utilized are leather, canvas, or similar, even, in some cases, plastic. The
tools to be used are dies fitted with the corresponding accessories to cut the material
and give it a suitable shape, cutter to cut the bands, and a sewing machine, or, instead,
elements to stick the several components forming the pouch destined to carry cartridges.
The technical characteristics composing the invention are summarized in a pouch containing
small cartridges of every kind, the paticularity of which is that the cartridges contained
in it can be extracted with only - one hand without having to leave the gun, and the
pouch automatically closes when removing the user's hand, and the hand can be introduced
in the interior of the pouch without any manipulation.
According to the set of drawings, attached hereby for a better understanding, the
following claims have been drawn up, said drawings being an auxiliary element.

bands (1 and 2) at the mouth (5) of the pouch (8) at different plane and level in
order to facilitate the opening with only one hand.
2. A pouch for cartridges, according to claim 1, characterized in the negative action
of the bands (1 and 2), which can be straight, convex or concave, to make the closing
of the pouch more consistent, and the opening more smooth.
3. A pouch for cartridges, according to the preceding claims, characterized by the automatic
closing action when the hand extracting the cartridge is removed from its interior
(5).

has divisions inside or outside destined to receive other effects, and even padded
material to preserve the metallic cartridges against damages.
5. A pouch for cartridges, according to the preceding claims, characterized in that it
has a fastener or bridge (9) to be mounted on a belt, or a strap to be carried hanging
from a shoulder.
6. A pouch for cartridges, according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the
bands (1 and 2) on the front and rear edge of the mouth (5) are inserted in sheaths
