(54) Fluorescent lamp and manufacturing method


(57) A high frequency operation fluorescent lamp (1) which can reduce a possibility of over-heat damage of a flare stem (2) at the end of its life. In the lamp, a pair of intermediate lead wires (3a, 3b) are passed through the flare stem at each end of a light emitting envelope, and an insulator (5) is provided to cover a top of the flare stem.
