(54) A method for manufacturing corks and a device for carrying out the method


(57) Method and device for manufacturing corks (25), specifically corks with the greater part of the body made of a cork mix (22) and at least one end section made of natural cork (5), in which a solid disk of natural cork (5), with a pre-established diameter, is placed on the manufacturing device; hot glue (6) is released onto one surface of the disk (5); a cylindrical body (22) made of cork mix is placed on the above-mentioned surface of the disk, the diameter of the cylindrical body corresponds to the diameter of the disk (5) and it is of a length suitable for the formation of the cork; the disk is axially compressed against the cylindrical body, and/or vice versa, for a length of time sufficient to ensure that the glue is set.
