Process for providing an optical element and optical element obtainable by such a
process |
(57) Process for providing an essentially homogeneous optical element, for example an
optical lens, comprising the steps of:
- filling a mould with a mixture comprising one or more monomers, one or more initers,
and one or more radical polymerization initiators, the degree of polymerization of
the monomers during filling being less than 5 % by weight,
- polymerizing said mixture such that more than 90 % by weight of all monomer is polymerized,
and
- removing the essentially homogeneous optical element from the mould.
