(57) An elevator apparatus comprises a hoisting machine 11 installed inside a elevator shaft 1, a cage 3 ascending and descending in the elevator shaft 1 by a rope 5 wound on a sheave 26 of the hoisting machine 11, wherein the sheave 26 is detachably mounted on a rotating frame 16 other than a shaft of a motor driving the sheave 26.
