(57) Art exhaust brake with electromagnetic control for diesel engine vehicles comprises an electric contact (77) mechanically coupled to the vehicle brake pedal, a butterfly valve (4) for closing the engine exhaust gases actuated by an electromagnetic device (9) and an electronic control unit (60) that senses the status of the electric contact (77) and the engine speed and closes the butterfly valve (4) if the pedal is pressed and the engine speed is over a predetermined minimum threshold.
