(57) In a weaving loom of the type in which the warp yarns (F) - which are wound onto
the beam (1) and directed towards the fabric forming zone of the loom - are unwound
by means of slow rotation of the beam (1) itself and are kept at a controlled tension
along their section between the yarn carrier and the fabric pulling device, said beam
(1) is driven at each of its ends (5,6) by a corresponding actuator (3,4), said actuators
(3,4), located on the sides of the loom, performing a combined driving of the beam
(1), so as to ensure controlled tension of the warp yarns (F). Advantageously said
actuators (3,4) are electric motors controlled electronically by sensors which detect
the tension of the warp yarns and by a network for processing the associated signals.
