Broadcast system and terminal for receiving and reproducing broadcast signals, comprising
a download unit |
(57) A broadcast system for allowing a receiving/reproducing terminal to reproduce moving
pictures in real time even if utilizing a communication infrastructure having a low
transmission data rate is disclosed. Background data or outline data is stored in
a data memory of the receiving/reproducing terminal in advance by a download system.
Then, by utilizing a communication infrastructure having a low transmission data rate,
such as a beeper system, a plurality of parts data are sequentially sent. The receiving/reproducing
terminal receives the parts data, and simultaneously reads the background data or
the outline data from the data memory in real time. Parts images represented by the
parts data are sequentially superimposed on a background image or an outline image
corresponding to the background data or the outline data, respectively, and the resulting
superimposed image is displayed as an overall moving picture.
