(57) A clock (10) comprising a base (11), a clock movement (14) held by the base (11) and having rotatable hour and minute indicators (16 and 17) which are light penetrable, a cover (12) connected by means of a connector (13) to the base (11) in a substantially co-axial and spaced apart manner, and a light source (21) supported behind the cover (12) at a position co-axially in front of the indicators (16 and 17) for shining light through the indicators (16 and 17) in order to form respective images (16S and 17S) around the base (11) on an upright surface (9) behind the base (11) for displaying time. The cover (12) includes a light diffusable extended periphery (12B) having an inner surface on which a visual element (20) is integrally formed for illumination by the light source (21) to appear visible on an outer surface of the periphery (12B) opposite the inner surface.
