Described is a liquid dispensing apparatus which uses flushing water and which controllably dispenses from a reservoir a metered dosage of deodorizing composition and/or cleansing composition and/or aromatizing composition into a portion of the flushing water (contained in a trough intermediate between the reservoir and a toilet basin) with the resultant composition being thereupon controllably dispensed into the toilet basin during the flushing cycle. The apparatus is easily refilled without the user being required to manually manipulate the dispensing apparatus while it is attached to the toilet basin. Also described is a process for employing the apparatus during the flush cycle.
