(54) Tension rod with end fasteners and method for manufacturing the same


(57) A tension rod (4) provided with end fasteners (1), and a method for manufacturing the same. The end fasteners (1) have socket-like elements (2) thereof secured by pressing around the ends of the tension rod (4) made of a composite material. Between the socket-like element (2) and the composite rod (4) is a gripping sleeve (5) made of a soft metal, particularly aluminium, which, when subjected to compression stress, establishes over its inner surface a grip on the outer surface of the tension rod (4) and over its outer surface a grip on the inner surface of the socket-like element (2). The gripping sleeve (5) increases tensile strength of the joint and, thus, also decreases the required dimensional measurements of the components.
