(54) Method and apparatus for melting road marking paint


(57) A paint melting tank is provided with an electric heating device, e.g. an electric heater. Paint in the paint melting tank is melted with the electric heating device while being stirred with a stirring machine by electric power supplied from a generator. A control unit has a stirring speed control device for variably controlling the speed of the stirring machine automatically or by manual operation according to the stirring load on the stirring machine, thereby efficiently stirring the paint while avoiding suspension of the apparatus due to an overload.
