Clothes hanger with prolonged handle |
(57) This invention concerns a wardrobe clothes hanger for articles of clothing, consisting
of a hook for hanging in the upper part and a shoulder part with a cross-bar. The
clothes hanger may be made from any material, in a single piece or in various parts,
and is furnished with a rigid or folding prolongation (14), pointing downwards and
acting as a handle.

|
[0001] This invention concerns clothes hangers and in particular clothes hangers for wardrobes.
[0002] These clothes hangers can be made from various materials, such as wood, metal, plastic
or a mixture of these. In all cases, they have a hook for hanging and a shoulder part
for supporting those garments with sleeves and, more often than not, a cross-bar,
with or without small hooks at the end, for holding other garments, such as trousers,
etc. In this form though, the clothes hangers and the garments on them are difficult
to reach and remove, especially when they are hung high up in wardrobes, without resorting
to specifically designed poles.
[0003] The aim of this invention is to overcome this disadvantage of clothes hangers, making
them more practical and easier to use, eliminating also the need to use poles in order
to reach the level of the hangers at the top of the wardrobe.
[0004] This objective is achieved according to the invention, whereby a clothes hanger is
equipped, either integrally, or with the addition of, a prolongation that extends
downwards and functions as a handle and handgrip for the clothes hanger.
[0005] This extended handle may be rigid or folding.
[0006] The enclosed design shows a practical example of this clothes hanger in its new form.
[0007] This clothes hanger may be made from any material, in a single piece or in various
parts combined together.
[0008] In the example shown, there is just one piece, consisting of a hook for hanging 11
in the upper part, a shoulder support 12 and a cross-bar 13. Extending from the lower
part of the clothes hanger there is a prolongation 14, forming a handle and enabling
the hanger to be grasped from below.
[0009] Said prolongation 14 may constitute a single solid piece with the rest of the clothes
hanger or, as an alternative, it may be added and connected to the hanger in such
a way as to move from an operative position, straight downwards, to a folded position,
alongside the cross-bar 13.
1. Wardrobe clothes hanger for articles of clothing, consisting of a hook for hanging
in the upper part, a shoulder part equipped with a cross-bar, and where the clothes
hanger may be made of any material, in a single piece or various parts, characterised
by the fact that it is furnished with a prolongation (14), pointing downwards and
acting as a handle.
2. Clothes hanger according to claim 1, in which said prolongation (14) forms one single
piece with the hanger.
3. Clothes hanger according to claim 1, in which said prolongation is added and fixed
rigidly to the hanger.
4. Clothes hanger according to claim 1, in which said prolongation is added and applied
to the hanger in folding form.
