(57) Internal combustion engine comprises a cylinder formed in an engine body, a piston
disposed for sliding in the cylinder, and a crankshaft connected to the piston through
a connecting rod, characterized in that the cylinder axis L2 is displaced in the direction
opposite the direction of the lateral component F of the thrust acting on the piston
relative to a line L1 parallel to the cylinder and passing the axis of the crankshaft.
