(54)	Method and machine for separating blanks for cardboard boxes

(57) The invention relates to a method and device separating blanks for cardboard boxes, in particular packaging boxes, from unbroken board sheets. The breaking means are used to break the unbroken sheets into separate blanks. Prior to this breaking operation, the unbroken sheets are stacked to form a stack of sheets (3,4). After unbroken sheets have been stacked to form a stack of sheets and prior to the breaking operation, a partial stack (6) of unbroken sheets is removed from the stack of sheets. The partial stack of sheets can be broken into separate partial stacks (28,29) of blanks without being unstacked. The invention also relates to a gripper (5) for removing partial stacks of unbroken sheets from the stack of sheets (4).
