<p id="pa01" num="0001">For tight chamber boilers, the possibility to view the flame during boiler's operation is a must.</p>
<p id="pa02" num="0002">This is made possible by using a glass allowing to see the flame and at the same time preventing air to pass through.</p>
<p id="pa03" num="0003">The subject solution allows to fix the glass to the air box cover, by using a high temperature resistant silicone.<img id="iaf01" file="imgaf001.tif" wi="87" he="128" img-content="drawing" img-format="tif"/></p>

<heading id="h0001">1. State of the art</heading>
<p id="p0001" num="0001">On all tight chamber boiler, the possibility to view the flame during boiler's operation is a must. This is obtained with a hole on the cover of the combustion chamber.</p>
<p id="p0002" num="0002">Since the boilers in question are of the tight chamber type, i.e. they are quipped with flue gases suction fan, no air should be allowed through said hole; actually, this would alter combustion.</p>
<p id="p0003" num="0003">This objective is reached through the use of a glass enabling to view the flame, but preventing air to pass through.</p>
<p id="p0004" num="0004">At present the glass in question has a diameter of 3.3 mm and is fixed to the cover of the combustion chamber by a ring nut, a gasket and three screws (see figure 1).</p>
<heading id="h0002"><i>2</i>. Description of the invention</heading><!-- EPO <DP n="2"> -->
<p id="p0005" num="0005">This new application provides for a change of the glass fixing system and of its position on the cover of the air box.</p>
<p id="p0006" num="0006">Therefore we propose to paste the glass in question with a high temperature resistant silicone. (see figure 2)</p>
<heading id="h0003"><i>3</i>. Application innovation</heading>
<p id="p0007" num="0007">Fixing the glass with silicone enables to optimize the assembling process of the combustion chamber cover, by reducing the number of required component parts. This results into reduced assembling times.</p>
<heading id="h0004"><i>4 Claims</i></heading>
<p id="p0008" num="0008">Purpose of this solution is to protect the new fixing method of the burner's flame inspection glass, using high temperature resistant silicone.</p>
