Double-walled polyethylene container or bag

Abstract

 The invention concerns a container or bag made out of polyethylene, with at least one side (10) made up of an internal wall (10') and an external wall (10") enclosing a hollow space (11) in which decorative elements (12) such as paper, cloth and natural elements can be inserted and contained.

Description

[0001] The present model refers to plastic containers or bags of the type used when shopping or for carrying clothes or other purchased articles.

[0002] Generally, either paper containers or bags differently decorated or with appropriate lettering or plastic containers or bags, usually single wall or reinforced polyvinyl chloride (PVC), also decorated and/or with lettering are used for this purpose.

[0003] One aim of the current invention is to present a polyethylene container or bag, a material which has never been used in this specific sector and which is more suitable, particularly if in contact with foodstuffs.

[0004] Another aim is to supply a container or bag whose sides are double walled, therefore particularly strong and without the need for reinforcement.

[0005] Another aim is to offer a container or bag which can be finished with additional decorative elements of various kinds, inserted into the hollow space between the double walls so as occupy all or a part of the surfaces of the container or bag, visible from the outside due to it being transparent.

[0006] A further aim is to supply a container or bag favourably usable for direct packing of articles purchased instead of using traditional wrapping or packaging.

[0007] Yet another aim is therefore to supply a container or bag which besides an improved functional aspect has a particular aesthetic aspect deriving from the additional elements inserted and not applicable to the well known types of containers or bags.

[0008] These aims are achieved with a transparent polyethylene container or bag, where each of its sides has a double wall, enclosing a hollow space into which various objects can be inserted as decoration, as for example paper, net, cloth, natural materials such as leaves, flowers, petals, feathers, etc. all visible.

[0009] The enclosed drawings, indicative and not limitative, show examples of the invention. In these drawings:

Fig.1 shows one possible shape used to make a container or bag;

Fig. 2 shows a further possible shape used to make a container or bag; and

Fig. 3 shows a cross-section of a container or bag.

In all its creations, the container or bag is made of transparent polyethylene. Each side 10 of the container or bag has an internal 10' and an external 10" wall enclosing a hollow space 11. In this hollow space 11 it is possible to insert, with the help of a transparent or coloured sheet of polypropylene or PVC 13, decorative elements 12 such as monochromatic, coloured or designed paper inserts and/or appropriate lettering, net, cloth, natural materials such as leaves, flowers, petals, feathers etc. These decorative elements 12 are visible from the outside, giving each container an original look.

[0010] All the models can be supplied with handles 13.

[0011] Obviously the decorative elements can also be omitted, without this altering the functional characteristics of the containers or bags however. In this case the containers may not necessarily be transparent.

Claims

1. Container or bag characterised by the fact that it is made of polyethylene.

2. Container or bag characterised by the fact that it has at least one side (10) made up of an internal wall (10') and an external wall (10") enclosing a hollow space (11).

3. Container or bag in compliance with claim 2, in which decorative elements or writing (12) have been inserted or placed in the hollow space (11).

4. Container in compliance with claim 3, in which the decorative elements or writing are applied to a sheet of transparent or coloured polypropylene or PVC (13) inserted into the hollow space between the internal and external walls of one or each side.
