(57) A mounting assembly for a motor (32) encased within a power tool housing (12), comprising: a transmission cover mounted within said housing including first alignment means; a motor (32) housing encasing said motor (32) and including second alignment means; said first alignment means mating with said second mounting means to correctly align said motor (32) within said housing upon said motor (32) being inserted into said housing through said opening; and cap means (34) removably affixed to said housing (12) over said opening, said cap means (34) biasing said motor (32) toward the front of said housing upon said cap means (34) being affixed to said housing (12), said cap means (34) providing access to said motor (32) through said opening upon removal of said cap means (34).
