Electronic compressed air registration board

Abstract

 The invention relates to a compressed air registration board for registering the deployment time of compressed air carriers, wherein the registration hereof is started electronically. For this purpose a name tag with the data of the compressed air carrier and/or the compressed air apparatus in use is provided with a plug which fits into a socket mounted on the compressed air registration board, wherein the time registration begins when contact is made. Because the registration of the deployment time can be started with one operation, the safety of the compressed air carrier is hereby increased considerably.

Description

[0001] The invention relates to a compressed air registration board which registers the deployment time of compressed air carriers.

[0002] Such a registration board for compressed air carriers is known from the Netherlands patent NL 1006167. Arranged on such a compressed air registration board is a field on which relevant information can be recorded in well-organized manner. Name tags contain the individual data of the compressed air carrier and/or the compressed air apparatus being used. A mechanical alarm keeps track of the elapsed or still remaining time per name tag. In the hectic situation in which people find themselves however, any additional operation is in practice one too many.

[0003] The invention provides that registering of the deployment time, and thereby the elapsed time or the still remaining quantity of compressed air for the compressed air carriers, takes place in simple and reliable manner, i.e. in electronic manner. For this purpose the name tags with the data of the compressed air carrier and/or the compressed air apparatus being used is for instance provided with a plug which fits into a socket mounted on the compressed air registration board, wherein the time registration begins when contact is made (or optionally broken). The great advantage of using a compressed air registration board provided with sockets is that it avoids having to start an alarm mechanically as well as connecting the name tags. The time registration is started with a single operation, i.e. by inserting the plug of the name tag into the matching socket in the board. Any plug/socket combination which is not sensitive to weather influences such as moisture is suitable for this application.

[0004] A robust, 6.3 (more precisely 6.35) mm plug/socket is preferably applied, more preferably a 6.3 (more precisely 6.35) mm audioplug combination. The firm SCS Industrie-componenten BV in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands, supplies suitable plugs in for instance the KLS and KLSM series, preferably the metal plugs in the KLS33 and KLSM33 series. Suitable matching sockets are supplied by the same firm in the KLB series, for instance the KLB33 series, and particularly the KLBN3SW, the KLBM3, the KLB3 or the KLB3SW socket. Such plugs, which are also referred to as guitar plugs, are of course also available from other suppliers.

[0005] A further advantage of applying a plug/socket in starting the above described time registration is that it is an inexpensive measure.

[0006] The dimensions of the compressed air registration board are not critical. In addition to a board with an area of for instance about one square metre, such a compressed air registration board with the dimensions of a cigar box, for instance with an area of around 200 square centimetres, also forms part of the invention.

[0007] The invention has for its object to increase work safety for compressed air carriers or a team of compressed air carriers by providing a compressed air registration board with which the registration of the deployment time can be started reliably with a single operation.

[0008] The invention is further elucidated with reference to two figures.
Figure 1 shows a compressed air registration board wherein 1 designates the board, 2 the field for arranging information and 3 the name tags provided with plugs. The elapsed time, and thereby the still remaining amount of compressed air, are registered electronically. At 0 minutes an alarm signal goes off, whereafter the assistance to this (these) person(s) will commence quickly.
Figure 2 shows in more detail a name tag provided with a plug for connecting via a matching socket to a compressed air registration board in order to start the time registration; at 1 the personal data is stated, 2 represents a connecting ring and 3 a 6.3 mm plug.

Claims

1. Compressed air registration board for registering the deployment time of compressed air carriers, with a well-organized field for arranging information and name tags, characterized in that the time registration of the deployment time begins in electronic manner.

2. Compressed air registration board according to claim 1, characterized in that the name tags are provided with a plug which fits into a socket mounted on the board, wherein the time registration begins when contact is made.

3. Compressed air registration board according to claim 2, characterized in that one or more 6.3 mm plugs and sockets are applied.

4. Compressed air registration board according to claim 3, characterized in that one or more 6.35 mm plugs and sockets are applied.

5. Name tag provided with a plug, suitable for application in a compressed air registration board as specified in the claims 1-4.
