(57) A device for the automatic application of seam-protecting tapes on moving fabrics comprises means for sensing the seams (22) between moving associated sheets (9,31) of fabric or the like, relieving, constraint, release means (5,7,15,13,20), cutting means (6,14) of the protective tapes (2,18,36), support, approaching and pressing means (10,11,33) of the protective tapes, and means for moving away the specular structures from the zones of said seams, and means of alignment synchronization of the protective tapes (2,18,36) with seams (22) depending on the advancement movement of sheets (9,31).
