(54) Closure for vial


(57) A closure (10) for a vial (20) includes a head portion (11) and a stem portion (12) which projects from a lower surface of the head portion (11), the stem portion (12) being inserted in an opening (21) of a vial (20); wherein the stem portion (12) is provided with a small diameter portion (15) and a seal portion (13), in that order from the lower surface of the head portion (11), the diameter of the small diameter portion (15) being smaller than the diameter of the seal portion (13). The entirety of the small diameter portion (15) and the seal portion (13) are substantially uniformly fitted in the opening (21) of the vial (20).
