(57) In a fastening system for the chin guard of an openable helmet, the chin guard (3)
is pivotally attached, by means of pins (4) disposed in the side walls of the outer
shell (2) of the helmet, so as to be able to be raised and lowered, the fastening
system of the chin guard comprising two fastening devices (10, 110) disposed respectively
in the lower right and left part of the outer shell (2) of the helmet, each fastening
device comprising engagement means (11, 13) integral with the outer shell and engageable
with engagement means (21) integral with the chin guard (3) and locking/unlocking
means (16) that can be operated manually to lock/unlock the fastening between said
engagement means (11, 13) integral with the outer shell and said engagement means
(21) integral with the chin guard, the locking/unlocking means (16) of one (110) of
the fastening devices being urged by elastic means (30) to remain normally in the
locking position.
