(57) A baby bed assembly (4) has a package box (44), four rods (42), four corner seats
(41), and six bed plates (43). Each of the corner seats (41) has a centre hole (411)
receiving the respective rod (42). The package box (44) receives the rods (42), the
corner seats (41), and the bed plates (43).

[0001] The present invention relates to a baby bed assembly, particularly to a baby bed
assembly which can be folded into a compact configuration.
[0002] Foldable baby bed assemblies are already known. Figures 1 and 2 show such a conventional
foldable baby bed assembly in a folded state. Five bed plates 2 enclose the conventional
foldable baby bed frame 1. A package box 3 receives the bed plates 2 and the conventional
foldable baby bed frame 1.
[0003] The problem associated with the above baby bed assembly is that even in the folded
state the length of the package box 3 as well as the width is approximately 250 mm.
[0004] It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a baby bed assembly which can
be folded into a more compact configuration in order to reduce the volume of the package.
[0005] According to the invention this object is achieved by means of a baby bed assembly
as set out in claim 1.
[0006] The invention is described hereafter with a reference to the appended drawings. In
the drawings:
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a folded baby bed frame of the prior art,
Fig. 2 is a schematic view illustrating a package box receiving five bed plates and
a conventional foldable baby bed frame of the prior art,
Fig. 3 is a perspective assembly of a rod and a corner seat of the preferred embodiment
in accordance with the present invention, and
Fig. 4 is a schematic view illustrating a package box receiving six bed plates and
four rods.
[0007] According to Figures 3 and 4, a baby bed assembly 4 according to the present invention
comprises a package box 44, four rods 42 forming the legs of the baby bed in the assembled
state, four corner seats 41 and six bed plates 43. Each of the corner seats 41 has
a centre hole 411 receiving a respective rod 42. In the folded state the baby bed
is packed into the package box 44 by putting the rods 42 and the corner seats 41 into
the middle of the package box 44 and arranging the bed plates 43 directly around the
folded frame without leaving a space between the corner seats 41 and the package box
44. In this manner, a baby bed having in the assembled state comparable dimensions
to the conventional baby bed can be packed into a package box 44 of about 190 mm in
length 190 mm in width.
1. A baby bed assembly (4) comprising a package box (44), four rods (42), four corner
seats (41) and bed plates (43), the package box (44) being adapted to receive the
rods (42), the corner seats (41) and the bed plates (43),
characterized in
that each of the corner seats (41) has a center hole (411), receiving the respective rod
(42), and
the number of the bed plates (43) is six or more.
2. Baby bed assembly according to claim 1,
characterized in
that the number of the bed plates (43) amounts to six.
