(54) Method and system for optimizing mill operation

(57) A method and system for providing equipment, unit process, department and millmodeling, simulation and optimization tools and services to a user (206) via a communications link. The user is presented with one or more mill data input interfaces (200), and mill data (202) provided through the user interfaces is processed (204) to generate benchmarking data, simulation models, and the like. The simulation models can be interactive and modified to allow a user to explore various techniques to optimize the operation of a machine, unit process, department or mill.
