(54) Yarn Traverse device


(57) The present invention relates to a yarn traverse device for use with an automatic yarn winder having a plurality of winding units comprising a plurality of partially overlapping adjacent yarn traverse units (U) each having an upper rotating wing (1) and a lower rotating wing (7) which rotate in opposite directions to avoid collisions between adjacent rotating wings when a yarn traverse unit is damaged the upper and lower rotating wing (1, 7) of each yarn traverse unit (U) are parallel to the axis of rotation of a touch roller (T) or a package (P), and rotate in the same plane as that of their complimentary rotating wings (1, 7) on every alternate yarn traverse unit (U), the rotating planes of the upper and lower rotating wings (1, 7) of each pair of adjacent yarn traverse units (U) comprising four separate planes (Fig. 7).
