(57) In a fastener tape (1) having a tape main portion (5) obtained by weaving and an
element-mounting edge portion (4) in which core strings (7a, 7b) are woven, foundation
warps (6e, 6f... 6m, 6n) used for the tape main portion (5) have a lower thermal contraction
coefficient than the other warps (6a to 6d). The core strings (7a, 7b) have a high
thermal contraction coefficient. The warps (6c, 6d) adjacent to the core strings (7a,
7b) at an inner side thereof have a thermal contraction coefficient lower than that
of the core strings (7a, 7b). Therefore, it is possible to obtain a fastener stringer
(8) in which no puckering occurs in an element-mounting edge portion (4) even after
elements (E) are attached, so that linearity can be secured.
