(54) Liquid container and liquid supply system


(57) A liquid container includes a container body (10); a liquid retaining member (18), provided in the container body, for absorbing and retaining liquid therein, the liquid retaining member (18) having a surface to be contacted by a filter (34) provided at a free end of liquid receiving means to supply the liquid to an outside, wherein the surface of the liquid retaining member is provided with pits (19a) and projections, the pits being out of contact with the filter, and the projections being contacted with the filter when the liquid retaining member and the filter are contacted.
