(54) Image formation process

(57) An image formation process is provided which includes developing a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material using a developing solution having a pH of 9.0 or above but less than 11.0. The silver halide photographic light-sensitive material has at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support, and another hydrophilic colloid layer. At least one type of hydrazine derivative and at least one type of compound represented by formula (1) are contained in at least one layer of the emulsion layer and the hydrophilic colloid layer, wherein M represents hydrogen, an alkali metal, or a protecting group that can be cleaved by an alkali, and R11, R12, and R13 may be identical to or different from each other and independently represent a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, or a cyano group.
