(54) Blank for realizing a box, and box obtained starting from said blank

(57) The invention concerns a blank for realising a box. The invention further relates to a box realised starting from said blank.

Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a blank for realising a box.

[0002] The invention further relates to a box obtained starting from said blank.

[0003] As it is well known, to send different king of objects. Or for containing the same, different kind of containers are used.

[0004] Particularly, even if not exclusively, in the sending field, either by post service or by courier, the same suppliers of the service, or the most well-stocked stationery shops, have many boxes of different sizes that, starting from a flattened (or collapsed) condition, can be assembled to obtain the shape of the box and thus package the object or the material to be sent.

[0005] Being understood that all the solutions known and presently available on the market allow to obtain a box shape, provided with an opening, and that such box shape cannot be the specific object of an exclusive right, the various solution differ for features allowing their assembling.

[0006] In fact, it must be taken into consideration that the box, provided in a flattened state, and thus not usable, should be then reassembled by the final user, the manual ability of which not always is sufficient.

[0007] Therefore, it is necessary that the box can be assembled in an easy and fast way, and at the same time, once reassembled, maintains its final condition.

[0008] None of the solutions presently available on the market allows to reach the above mentioned results.

[0009] Main object of the present invention is that of providing a technical solution allowing obtaining a box in a very simple and fast way.

[0010] Another object of the present invention is that of providing a technical solution allowing to obtain, at the end of the assembling, a solid box, and that maintains the final condition without opening again.

[0011] It is therefore specific object of the present invention a blank for the realisation of a box, said blank comprising a first and a second sheet, respectively for a container portion and for a cover portion of the box, coupled each other by a first coupling wall, said wall being coupled with said first and a second sheets by marking or folding lines, each one of said sheets being coupled, on the opposite side, by a further marking or folding line, to a respective second and third walls, said second and third walls ending with a respective flap, said flaps being foldable along said further marking or folding lines; said flaps are provided, on their free end, with fixing means that, when said flaps are folded on the respective walls, couple with corresponding fixing means, provided on said sheets close to the marking or folding lines; said second sheet providing two lateral flaps, coupled by marking or folding lines, serving to realise the lateral walls of the container portion, and said second sheet provides two lateral flaps, coupled by marking or folding lines, serving to realise the lateral walls of the cover portion, both the flaps of the first sheet and the flaps of the second sheet are coupled with the relevant walls by tangs realised in such a way to be foldable when the box is assembled.

[0012] Preferably, according to the invention, gluing points are provided on the folding tangs.

[0013] Always according to the invention, said fixing means can be comprised of projections and corresponding holes.

[0014] Still according to the invention, said blank is comprised of paperboard.

[0015] The invention also concerns a box obtained employing a blank as described and claimed.

[0016] The present invention will be now described, for illustrative but not limitative purposes, according to its preferred embodiments, with particular reference to the figures of the enclosed drawings, wherein:

figure 1 is a plan view of an embodiment of the blank according to the invention;

figure 2 shows the blank of figure 1 in an intermediate step of the assembling of the box;

figure 3 shows the box realised starting from the blank of figure 1, opened; and

figures from 4a to 4e show, in sequence, the assembling steps of a box starting from a blank according to the invention.

[0017] Observing the figures of the enclosed drawings, it is shown an embodiment of the blank according to the invention, generally indicated by reference number 1.

[0018] Said blank 1 has two sheets 2, 3, respectively for the container portion and for the cover portion of the box, coupled each other by a first coupling wall 4, coupled with said first and a second sheets 2, 3 by marking or folding lines 5, 6.

[0019] On the opposite side, each one of said sheets 2, 3 is coupled, the opposite side, by a further marking or folding line, respectively 7, 8, to a respective second 9 and third 10 walls, ending with a respective flap 11, 12, foldable along said further marking or folding lines 13, 14.

[0020] Said flaps 11, 12 are provided, on their free end, with projections 15, 16 that, when said flaps 11, 12 are folded on the respective walls, couple with corresponding holes 17, 18, realised on said sheets 2, 3 close to the marking or folding lines 7, 8.

[0021] The second sheet 2 provides two lateral flaps 19, 20, coupled by marking or folding lines 21, 22, serving to realise the lateral walls of the container portion.

[0022] In the same way, said sheet 3 provides two lateral flaps 23, 24, coupled by marking or folding lines 25, 26, serving to realise the lateral walls of the cover portion.

[0023] Both the flaps 19, 20 and the flaps 23, 24 are coupled with the relevant walls 4 and 9, and to the wall 10, by folding tangs 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32 realised in such a way to be foldable when the box is assembled.

[0024] In the embodiment shown in the figures of the enclosed drawings, gluing points are provided on the folding tangs 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32.

[0025] From figures 2 and 3 it is possible to note the container portion 33 and the cover portion 34 of a box realised by the blank 1 of figure 1.

[0026] Observing particularly the figures from 4a to 4e, it is possible to visualise the sequence of the assembling operations of the box according to the invention.

[0027] Observing the figures, the assembling of the box will be described from the left side to the right side of the figure, realising first the container portion 33 and then the cover portion 34, but it is well evident that the sequence can be the opposite one.

[0028] Flap 11 is folded on the wall 9, along the folding line 13, bringing the projections 15 to couple with the seats 17.

[0029] Then the flaps 19 and 20 are raised, folding them along the folding lines 21, 22.

[0030] In this phase, the foldable tangs 27, 28 are folded, and the gluing points provided on the same tangs have the proper effect to maintain the wall 9 and the flaps 19, 20 erected.

[0031] Then the wall 4 connecting the sheets 2 and 3 is raised, thus obtaining the folding of the tangs 29, 30, with the fixing of their gluing points.

[0032] In the same way, the flap 12 of the cover portion 34 is raised, thus blocking the projections 16 into their seats 18, and causing the folding of the tangs 31, 32, with the consequent fixing of the gluing points, until assembling the cover portion.

[0033] The assembling is very fast and easy, and allows obtaining a very solid box, the shape and dimensions of which can be of any wished kind.

[0034] Also the material by which the box is comprised, as well as the material of the closure system, can be chosen in function of the specific needing and use, not being part of the scope of the invention.

[0035] The present invention has been described for illustrative but not limitative purposes, according to its preferred embodiments, but it is to be understood that modifications and/or changes can be introduced by those skilled in the art without departing from the relevant scope as defined in the enclosed claims.
