(57) The invention relates to a connector for the mechanical and electrical connection
of the ends of electrical conductors. The connector comprises at least two components,
said components having complimentary engagement means to allow the components to be
brought and held together to form the connector. The engagement means limit axial
movement along the connector and retaining means are provided to lock the engagement
means in position and prevent relative movement of the components perpendicularly
to the longitudinal axis of the connector.
