| (54) | Image forming device and process unit for use therein |
| (57) A developing unit (28) is detachably mounted on a photosensitive unit (26) to form
a combined unit called process unit (17). In use, the process unit (17) is loaded
into an electrophotographic image forming device. A rotational shaft (27a) of the
photosensitive drum (27) projects out from the photosensitive unit (26). When the
process unit (17) is loaded into the image forming device from a top open space, both
ends of the rotational shaft (27a) are engaged with a pair of guides (55) formed in
side walls (2b) of the image forming device and guided down along the guides (55).
The process unit (17) is accommodated in an accommodating section (57) when both ends
of the rotational shaft (27a) have brought into abutment with stops at the ends of
the guides (55) and a trailing end of the process unit (17) is rotated downward about
the rotational shaft (27a).
