(54) An electric riveting gun


(57) An electric riveting gun (1) is used to apply rivets of the type with break mandrels and is equipped with a gripping and pulling device (3) designed to engage and pull the mandrels, an electric motor (7) powered by a rechargeable battery (10), and a transmission element (8) located between the motor (7) and the gripping and pulling device (3). The speed of the motor (7) is controlled by a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal that drives an electronic circuit (9) designed to control the current drawn by the motor (7) during the upsetting cycle in which a mandrel is broken off a rivet.
