(54) Electrical shield


(57) An electrical shield for mounting on a backplane of a telecommunications equipment rack that provides attenuation to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and protection from electrostatic discharge (ESD). The electrical shield has a body of moldable structural foam material that has channels formed on one side to accommodate electrical cables on the backplane. An electrically conductive coating is deposited on a substantially planar surface of the other side of the body of moldable material to provide an electrically conductive relationship with the telecommunications equipment rack.
