(54) Horn loaded type loudspeaker


(57) In a horn-loaded compression loudspeaker, sound energy is routed from a compression chamber to a number of radiating openings via respective passages 75 of monotonically-increasing cross-sectional area. This enables a desired wavefront shape to be constructed, by virtue of the radiating openings constituting sub-divisions of a surface which defines the required wavefront.
