[0001] The present finding relates to a size marker to be applied to clothes hangers.
[0002] The use of the so-called "size markers" applied on clothes hangers is well known.
[0003] Such size markers consist of a body provided with a through hole, which is the seat
housing the filiform portion of the hook, as well as, usually, a longitudinal side
notch that allows fixing said filiform portion onto said central hook of the clothes
hanger.
[0004] Moreover, in the coupling portion of the central metal hook, the plastic body of
the clothes hanger is provided with a protruding hub that has the function of increasing
the thickness of the fixing portion of the same hook, and thereby make the union between
the two elements firmer.
[0005] Clothes hangers of the type described above exhibit two disadvantages:
- the pressing portion of the hub on the hook body generally is defective, exhibiting
an uneven surface and therefore being not valid from the aesthetic point of view;
- the size marker inserted onto the hook arranges on top of the hub and can easily remove
from the hook.
[0006] Object of the present finding is that of providing a size marker, which should eliminate
such disadvantages.
[0007] This is obtained by realising a size marker provided with a recess adapted for containing,
either partly or totally, the hub protruding from the plastic body of the clothes
hanger, so that the same is not visible from the outside anymore, and moreover, thanks
to the mutual fixing between size marker and hub, so that the application of the same
size marker is steadier and safer.
[0008] The features of the finding will appear more clearly from the description of a possible
embodiment, made by way of an example with reference to the attached drawings, wherein:

with the size marker of the finding:

[0009] As it can be seen in figs. 1 and 2, the size marker 1 is applied on the metal hook
2 and abuts against hub 3 protruding from body 4 of the clothes hanger.
[0010] As it can be seen in figs. 3 and following ones, the size marker 1 consists of an
annular body 5, having cylindrical section, provided with a longitudinal side notch
6 that allows fixing it by pressure onto the filiform portion of hook 2 and being
held in guide by the radial tongues 7.
[0011] The novelty feature of the size marker 1 consists in being provided with an inside
recess 8 that forms the seat housing, either totally or partly, hub 3 of the clothes
hanger.
[0012] The advantages arising from the use of the size marker of the finding clearly appear
from what described and illustrated above, since it encloses hub 3 and thereby prevents
it from being visible from the outside, with evident aesthetic advantages; moreover,
its arrangement on clothes hangers is safer since it is difficult to remove.
[0013] Of course other embodiments are possible besides that illustrated, without departing
from the scope of the claims, defined hereinafter.
1. SIZE MARKER FOR CLOTHES HANGERS, consisting of a body provided with a thorough hole
that forms the seat housing the filiform portion of the central hanger hook, as well
as usually, a longitudinal side notch that allows fixing said filiform portion onto
said central hook,
said size marker being characterised in that it is provided with a recess adapted for containing, either partly or totally, the
hub protruding from the plastic body of the clothes hanger.
2. SIZE MARKER FOR CLOTHES HANGERS according to claim 1, applied on the metal hook (2)
and abutting against the hub (3) protruding from the body (4), consisting of an annular
body (5) having cylindrical section, provided with a longitudinal side notch (6) that
allows fixing it by pressure to the filiform portion (6) and being held in guide by
the radial tongues (7), characterised in that it is provided with an inside recess (8) that forms the seat housing the hub (3)
of the clothes hanger.
