(54) Disposable toilet cleaning device

(57) The invention consists of a disposable device for cleaning toilets. It is similar to those seen hung on the inner rim of the toilet bowl, which work by the action of the water released during the flushing, whereby when the water comes into contact with the invented device it is mixed with an appropriate cleaning product contained in the device, thus desinfecting, cleaning and freshening the toilet.
It is important to say that the device is disposable and not refilled.

Description

[0001] The invention consists of a disposable device for cleaning toilets. It is similar to those seen hung on the inner rim of the toilet bowl, which work by the action of the water released during flushing, whereby when the water comes into contact with the invented device it is mixed with an appropriate cleaning product contained in the device, thus disinfecting, cleaning and freshening the toilet.

[0002] All devices of this type currently available on the market consist of a refillable dosing unit, with or without an integrated hanging hook, and a replaceable accessory containing the cleaning product.

[0003] By its very nature this system means that refilling or replacing the component containing the cleaning liquid is an unpleasant task for the person carrying it out. They have to touch the device, which is obviously located in the interior of the toilet bowl, given that the dosing unit is used several times.

[0004] In order to alleviate this problem, we have developed a device which is disposable and which is not refilled. It consists of a bottle for the liquid and a cap which acts as a dispenser and seal for the bottle, such that when the cap is opened the cleaning liquid flows under gravity towards the dispenser. It is held in place with a hook-shaped hanging bracket.

[0005] The outstanding feature of the new device is that it is disposable given that the liquid container and the cap form a single unit in which the cap acts as a dispenser for the bottle.

[0006] In order to aid comprehension of the object a set of diagrams are included with this description. These show, for instance:

FIGURE ONE.- Shows a view of the device fitted inside the toilet bowl in operation in the open position.

FIGURE TWO.- Shows the device closed and without the hanging bracket.

FIGURE THREE.- Shows a side view of the device.

FIGURE FOUR.- Shows the hook-shaped bracket.

[0007] On the diagrams the following main parts are marked:

[0008] The new device, which may be manufactured in any appropriate material, will basically consist of a container or bottle -1- which will have an integrated cap which acts as a dispenser. This is fitted in such a way -5- that when the dispenser cap is pulled the bottle or container is opened in a controlled way. This opening is limited so that the cap cannot come off entirely. The opening of the cap allows the cleaning liquid contained in the bottle -1- to flow under gravity to the bottom of the cap -7-.

[0009] The cap is -2- pulled with the fingers to enable it to be opened.

[0010] As regards the fitting of the device on the rim -8- of the toilet bowl, it is hung on the rim with a hook-shaped bracket -3-, which will be presented separately. The hanging bracket has an angled shape -4-so it can be fitted onto the rim, and at the other end it has lugs or similar -6- allowing it to be attached to the space which exists when the bottle -1- and the cap -2- are separated.

[0011] Once the device has been fitted and the dispensing cap opened, the cleaning liquid will flow from the bottle to the bottom of the cap, where it will stay until it is moved by the water from the cistern.

[0012] When the liquid in the bottle has been used up, the entire device is removed and replaced by a new one.

Claims

1. Disposable toilet cleaning device of a type fitted inside toilet bowl and containing a liquid cleaning product permitting contact and mixing with the water from the cistern, thereby spreading over the whole internal surface of the toilet bowl and contributing to its cleaning. The device consists of a bottle or container -1- containing a cleaning liquid, which has a cap on its base -2- which also serves as a dispenser for the liquid, for which purpose it has a receiving surface -7-, and between both pieces it is mounted on the end of a hook-shaped hanging bracket -3-which by means of lugs or similar -6- is fixed to the intermediate space, while at its other upper end it is angled -4- to hook over the rim of the toilet bowl -8-.
