[0001] The following application for Registration of Utility Model concerns a change purse
made of rigid material designed specifically for containing Euro coins.
[0002] With the circulation of the new Euro coins, there is now the need to have a suitable
container for storing in an orderly manner all of the various types of coins available,
capable of allowing their immediate recognition and use.
[0003] This Utility Model meets this need by offering an object of pleasant appearance thanks
to its external case and, at the same time, easily stored in a pocket or purse or
simply held in hand due to its small size.
[0004] This change purse consists of two assembled parts: an internal part made of rigid
material that constitutes the change purse itself, and an external lining part, the
case, that encloses the change purse.
[0005] The case is made of a soft material such as leather, leatherette, fabric or other
similar material, and looks like a wide strip with two wings on the sides. It also
has, internally, a small pocket that can be completed with a zipper or left open.
[0006] The internal part that constitutes the change purse can be made of rigid material
of any kind, as long as it performs the intended task and has the shape of a parallelepiped
preferably of the following size: approx. 10.5x4x1.5 cm.
[0007] This rigid element has eight slots or circular housings, the diameters of which are
equal to those of the eight EURO coins and capable of containing a given number of
coins. Moreover, each housing has an opening on its larger border.
[0008] These openings allow to easily extract a coin from the housing by pushing upwards
the edge of the coin inserted into it with the tip of a finger.
[0009] The rigid element is fixed using specific means - glue or such like - to the inside
of the case, and the two wings are placed over its smaller borders so as to complete
the external lining of the change purse and offer yet another means for anchoring
the rigid element.
[0010] The top flap of the strip that constitutes the case overlaps the smaller bottom flap,
thus preventing the spilling out of the coins. These flaps are then fixed with a press-fastener,
with Velcro or with similar means.
[0011] The subject of this Utility Model is illustrated in the tables of drawings attached
hereto, as follows:
Fig. 1 shows a general view from the top of the opened change purse;
Fig. 2 shows the rigid element that is to be fixed, in the central part, to the inside
of the case;
Fig. 3 shows the change purse closed.
[0012] With specific reference to the Figures:
Item 1 is the case with the 2 flaps;
Item 3 is the small pocket;
Item 4 is the rigid element;
Items 5 are the coin housings;
Items 6 are the openings made on the edges of the rigid element, and
Items 7 are the coins inserted in their corresponding housings.
